These have been a great alternative for my aero garden. Just came to reorder for my spring seed starting and thought I should write a review since I order these all the time.They aren’t the exact size of an aero garden plug but work really well in both the plastic cages and my seed starter garden option. You need to soak them in water first so they expand a bit then the square plugs fit nicely.I’ve used them for seed starting tons of different greens (bok choy, kale, chard, lettuces) and even had better luck with tomatoes, peppers and eggplants in these with my aero garden than with rockwool and grow lights in my shed.If you are looking for a more affordable option for your aero garden, these work great! I’ve even reused them a few times when I had seeds that didn’t germinate. If you gently rinse them off and don’t squeeze too much, I got a second use out of a few of these sponges.
