Sponge reviewStop wasting your money on those germ infested sponges, Lubrima Silicone Sponge Dish Sponge has multi uses, and collecting moldy germs isn’t one of them! When ordering this product I had some doubts, I mean here we have a product that is supposed to be an improvement over the age-old kitchen tool. I mean, how long have we been using a sponge in the kitchen, I was always taught if it’s not broke don’t fix it! Moldy bacteria growing the apparatus that you use to clean your dishes isn’t something I want to worry about, especially with all the germs going around in this day!When I recurved the product I have to admit I loved the feel of it!! It was quite soothing in between my fingers! They have small silicone little cleaning tentacles that can be used to scrub or scrape. Its design also makes it more pliable, allowing you to reach traditionally hard to reach places, such as the inside of a thin glass or in tight corners. It doesn’t wear out quickly or hold odors.They are very versatile. As I have used mine to get the dog hair off my pants with ease, i have used it to grab a hot pizza pan from the oven, as a trivet to put a hot pot on and even as an assistant to help open those super tight jars! I have been using one for a while now and it seems no matter how many times I use it when I’m done I just run it under hot water shake the excess water off it and hang it from the convenient little hole on the side to let it dry, it has yet to produce a foul, or musty smell! They seem to be very durable, as the one I have been using hasn’t lost any tentacles, and it seems to work well with all my scrubbing needs!There are a few qualities that I really like, one is the fact that they are environmentally friendly! Your not having to throw one away every few days because of the germs or smell! I have a set of expensive pots and pans they have that non stick silicone liner and when you cook in them and stuff gets stuck on them it’s natural for me to grab a harsh scrubbing pad to get the grease and grime off, unfortunately when you do this it tends to scratch the silicon as well, causing the pan to be useless. Try frying potatoes in one after it’s all scratched up they stick every time! But when I use the Lubrima Silicone Sponge Dish Sponge it gets the grease and grime off with ease and doesn’t leave behind any scratches!They only thing that I would improve with these sponges is the ability to hold the soap longer! But if I take my dish soap and put it in a small saucer instead of the sponge and just dip my sponge in it every now and again, there is no problem!! This is a product that I will be purchasing again, just not sure when that will be due to the life span it seems to have. I priced some similar silicone sponges and some were double even triple the price! When you get tired of throwing your money away in those germ filled sponges give these a try you won’t be sorry!! They came with 3 however, one ran off with my sister before I could snap a pic of it!Same clean, no gross wet sponge! Doesn't scrub same, so it takes a bit to get used too.I like that there’s no mildew smell with this. However, you’ll go through a ton more dish soap because this does not hold any of the dish soap when you’re washing dishes. I don’t think I would buy it againThese do not have a scent and they are not Absorbent by design so that’s good. They clean most dishes very well. If it’s baked on it may take a bit more scrubbing. But they rinse well and do not get that nasty sponge smell.They get really slick when they have soap on them. They clean nonstick pots and pans fine but not other dishes.Love that it dries quickly without odor.Wish it was a bit larger and thicker.I was intrigued by the idea of silicone sponges and had to try. They’re not bad, actually, but also not perfect.Cons: To my surprise, they don’t actually rinse out super cleanly, I assumed they would. The bristles are fine and compact, hence a little residue is trapped behind. They aren’t really gross, and they do rinse out if you work at it, or if your dishes weren’t very dirty. They obviously aren’t intensely scrubby, but again, actually not too weak, either. Wish the colors were better, I’d prefer neutrals.Pros: I appreciate that they don’t look so gross, they don't stink, and they’re obviously much more hygienic. They can be put in the dishwasher, which is great, and they dry super easy when not in use. The colors haven’t faded so far. They’re flexible, easy to hold and use. Fit nicely in my sink saddle when not in use. Multi-purpose; I can think of dozens of uses for these little buggers.Pretty fun, worth a try!The idea of these are great, however when you actually use them to wash it doesn’t do such a good job. I like that it doesn’t harbor bacteria.When I first got these I was ready to give the product zero stars. The scrubbers were smaller than I expected and given they don't absorb any water I couldn't see how they were going to be any good. But, they actually work really well as a SCRUBBER. Which means you'll need something else to absorb the water they leave behind. But I've used them on my glass stove top, coffee pot, kitchen counter, cat fountain, etc. - and they do get things clean. And because they are flexible they can get into spots a regular sponge couldn't.Overall, it does feel odd to be cleaning with silicone. So much so that I can see a lot of people not liking these. And the price is high for such tiny pads.I wish I would have read the lower reviews in more detail rather than just seeing the product has a 4 star rating. They are all accurate - the product doesn't lather or actually work on dishes that need any more that rinsing off. It gets weirdly slimy when wet and it could stand to be both wider and longer. I am trying to think of an alternate use for it so I can feel better about spending the money.Ne lave pas bien la vaisselle malheureusement. Si vaisselle presque pas sale fonctionne bien mais si moindrement nourriture collée, l'éponge ne va pas déloger la saleté... Aussi le savon ne mousse pas donc on doit en mettre plus. Dommage car bon concept. J'avais lu des commentaires semblables et je me disais que les gens étaient difficiles mais finalement c'est vrai, le produit n'est pas efficace- je n'utilise plus ces éponges car ne fonctionne pas assez bien !They just don’t work.
